Exciting opportunity for dynamic, hands-on, values-oriented, entrepreneurial sales executive to drive growth at privately-held, emerging green building materials company located in Portland, Oregon.
Summary:
YOLO Colorhouse has established itself as a leader in the green building materials market and has an opportunity to significantly scale with key retail partners. This position, as a senior manager of the firm, is responsible for implementing the strategic growth plan as established by the President Board of Managers. You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance and growth of existing distribution and sales channels, while continually developing and implementing strategies for new channels.
YOLO Colorhouse seeks candidates with creative problem-solving skills, demonstrated strong leadership capabilities, and proven ability to excel in an entrepreneurial environment driving top line sales.
Specific responsibilities will include, among others:
Oversee and direct the performance of all sales channels and telemarketing efforts
Oversee and direct the performance of existing retailer distribution channels
Oversee and direct all prospecting methods and new business acquisition strategy
Manage sales and customer service representatives
Develop programs to review retailer order performance, tracking weekly; monthly; quarterly and annual sales targets and tactics to resolve marginal performance
Oversee and develop customer service department (troubleshooting customer complaints) that delivers an exemplary customer experience
Oversee and direct strategy for professional program (commercial job acquisition; contractor programs direct and through retailers) that includes targeting of LEED projects
Develop all sales scripts, prospecting programs and databases to build top line revenue, brand equity and customer engagement
Continue to grow established relationships with retailers and develop strategy for continued growth and expansion with like-minded companies
Manage in-store representatives at select retail locations for maximum profitability for company
Oversee all retailer training programs, set up new retailers, and create presentations and training programs collaborating with established vendor processes
Chair daily sales meeting and generate weekly activity report to President on sales metrics and progress to goals
Work closely with marketing and social media teams to increase sales and customer experience
Travel and present to prospects at all levels of management
Up to 25% travel possible
Qualifications:
Proven sales leadership and problem-solving skills with ability to continually develop new prospects while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers in values based company
Ability to deal with the unexpected, work in a fast paced environment, and establish and maintain priorities
Experience working with multi-channel customers in a wholesale environment preferred
Experience in generating commercial RFPs and working with outside account executives to develop leads and sales
Experience with LEED certified building projects and green building practices that generated company sales
Solid understanding of cost accounting and Excel (advanced user preferred)
Proven expertise in creating interactive PowerPoint presentations; skilled presenter and brand spokesperson
Passion for environmental sustainability with LEED AP certification a plus
Knowledge or experience with Netsuite a plus
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of sales/management experience at P&L level with increasing responsibilities.
