The Vice President for Environment, Fish & Wildlife leads the organization to achieve the following program objectives: implement and /or advocate for scientifically based, cost-effective strategies that mitigate for Federal Columbia River Power System hydro impacts on fish and wildlife; deliver public benefits of the Columbia River through negotiating and managing mitigation work to achieve best environmental result and dollar value; and advance policy solutions through collaborative working relationships with Regional entities.

The Vice President is highly visible and integral to BPA’s success by externally collaborating with a broad range of regulators and stakeholders in environmental undertakings that address the breadth of interests including the four-interstate Northwest Power and Conservation Council; the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and Bureau of Reclamation (which own and operate the region’s federal dams); State and local governments including over 50 sovereign Tribal governments; State energy, water resources, land use and fish and wildlife agencies; utilities; national and regional environmental interest organizations, regulatory agencies, nonprofit organizations, and the general public.
