Internet based business, GreenRenter.com, seeks entrepreneur with experience in start-up ventures to expand company profile and grow business. President will take fledgling business concept, test the business model, and grow the company nationwide. Initial duties include refining vision and strategy, financial modeling, business development, marketing and working with Director of Technology to improve usability and impact of the site.

About
Launched in April 2008, GreenRenter™ is the only online directory of “green” or eco-conscious commercial and residential rental property. It’s an online community designed for tenants to find rentals and for owners to advertise space for lease. Owners create their own building profile page by completing an online survey. Each building has its own profile page with a photo gallery and lots of information about amenities and green features. The site is currently available nationwide and in Australia.

Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience working for a start-up business.
* Relevant business background in residential and commercial rental property industry or in growing an internet-based start-up.
* Practical knowledge of green building principles and practices and the organizations that certify green buildings.
* Experience managing the financial aspects of a growing small business.
* Sustainable lifestyle and knowledge of key sustainable living practices.
* Understanding of web-based business and development.
* Detail oriented work style and project management skills.
* Social media marketing experience a plus.

Essential functions

* Test and refine business model.
* Expand into targeted markets nationwide.
* Facilitate dialogue and report to Founders.
* Manage and nurture key partnerships.
* Identify and focus limited resources on most efficient use of time and money.
* Aggregate data and experience to refine and improve service delivery and website experience.

Education & experience

* Proven ability to flourish in an entrepreneurial environment.
* Degree and/or work experience in business development, property management, construction, real estate, internet-technology or marketing.
* MBA in sustainability preferred.
