This team leverages those relationships to deliver the energy savings or peak power solutions our clients most desire.

As our utility clients gear up their energy efficiency and distributed generation programs, the opportunities are plentiful for making a big impact while we continue to grow Ecos. Our Utility Solutions Team has an immediate need for a Senior Manager, Residential based out of our Portland, Ore headquarters. In this role, you will report to our Director, Residential and Whole Homes and have the opportunity to have a significant impact on our continued success.

At Ecos, our Senior Manager, Residential is responsible for energy efficiency programs, project management, execution, and delivery of Efficiency Programs for multiple clients.

Role Description

In this integral management role, you will be responsible for management and oversight of all aspects of efficiency projects including milestone delivery and deadlines, budgeting and timely task delivery, monthly client reporting, monitoring and summarization of program progress, and internal cross-functional team management. You will also be responsible for preparation of reports for clients and management regarding project status, and be responsible for annual revenue and net income goals related to existing programs. You will responsible for the development and maintenance of client relationships to increase revenue and program extensions, and for sustaining and renewing client contracts. In this role, you will ensure that products and services provided consistently meet client needs, while you manage, develop and implement product marketing activities to maximize ROI of products and services. You will also be responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial and market analysis to develop new products and services.

The Senior Manager, Residential will, in coordination with the Strategy and Innovation Team, represent the delivery function on client account management plans. You will also acquire, lead, train, develop and retain team leaders, project managers and technical talent to ensure consistent quality delivery of efficiency solutions. This position will also ensure the most efficient utilization of financial and labor resources by communicating, coordinating and negotiating with other internal departments (HR, Marketing, Product & Service Innovation, Finance, Origination & Structuring, etc.) on business development activities. You will also handle strategic and/or complex client accounts.

Role Competencies

As our ideal candidate, you possess a Bachelors Degree and 8 years of experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or electric technology concepts, practices, and procedures or related field. Ideally, you will have an advanced degree in business management, environmental policy, or energy management. You will also possess a minimum 3 years of experience in both client relationship management and team management, plus 5 years of experience leading and directing others.

This role will rely on your experience in Budget Management, Contract Management, Client Management and Staff Management. As part of our management team, you will have the ability to successfully manage cross-functional and matrix-managed teams, and possesses strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in diverse and matrixed organizations, and proven project management skills. As our ideal candidate, you will also be experienced in managing P&L and/or departmental budgets; strong financial and marketing analysis experience is required. You will also have extensive experience with planning and accomplishing goals, and demonstrate high levels of leadership, initiative, teamwork and adaptability. You will also be able to manipulate, analyze and synthesize data in various systems and/or technology environments. Finally, you will have proven experience leading, managing, developing and mentoring.
