Senior Energy Engineering Position
ERS is a progressive energy consulting firm specializing in assessment of energy efficiency projects; efficiency program planning, management, and evaluation; renewable energy and sustainable building assessment; and energy analysis and project development. ERS provides candidates a unique opportunity for growth in an environment of learning and camaraderie. We are based in North Andover, Massachusetts and have additional offices in New York, Maine, Texas, Oregon, and California.
ERS continues to expand, and we currently have a Senior Energy Engineering position open in the Portland, Oregon area.
Candidates should have 5 or more years of energy engineering experience that includes knowledge of energy systems, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable practices for commercial building systems, new building construction, and industrial manufacturing operations. Experience in business development, project management and energy efficiency programs are also highly desirable. The successful candidate for this position will play a lead role in providing service to our existing client base as well as the development of new business and expanded operations.
We seek highly motivated candidates able to work independently with significant academic focus and experience in several of the following areas:
• Energy Efficiency
• Industrial Process Efficiency and Productivity
• Natural Gas Efficiency Projects
• Comprehensive Energy Assessments & Analyses
• Monitoring & Verification (M&V) and Impact Evaluation
• HVAC System Assessment and Analytical Modeling
• Municipal wastewater projects
• Building Commissioning/Retro-Commissioning Services
• High Performance and Green Buildings/LEED Certification
• Compressed Air Supply & Demand-Side Enhancements
• State-of-the-Art Lighting Design M&V
• Renewable Energy Technologies (photovoltaics, wind, distributed generation, etc.)
Successful applicants will also have experience conducting and/or directing site surveys, performing measure analyses, and preparing comprehensive reports detailing analytical findings. Project management skills and the ability to work closely with customers, vendors, and efficiency program administrators are essential. Experience in business development, construction administration, and/or design, are a plus. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required; a masters or advanced degree is preferred. Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills are mandatory.
