The events and outreach assistants will perform a variety of duties to support communications and public outreach related to Metro’s travel options, natural areas and waste reduction programs. The ideal candidates are outgoing, self-starters with exceptional oral and written communications skills and experience with events outreach. Staff in the positions will conduct outreach at events; assist with coordination, management and publicity of Metro events; and coordinate Metro’s participation in community events. The positions will write news releases, calendar listings, blog and social media posts, and capture event images with photographs and video. The positions may coordinate the work of volunteers and interns.

Two part-time temporary positions are available; 20 to 30 hours per week, including most weekends in June and July and some evenings. Fluent Spanish is required for one of the positions. Positions will start in April with a duration of approximately six months.
