Field analyst wanted to work with agricultural producers to assess their current energy use and help them implement improvements to increase energy efficiency, with an initial focus on irrigation.
If you have solid interpersonal, leadership and communication skills, a fundamental grasp of energy efficiency technologies, and an agricultural background, this position is for you!

This is a new program and you will be instrumental in helping us develop this Program. Professional experience within a broad range of agriculture, irrigation and energy efficiency principles is preferred.
The goal is to increase energy efficiencies in irrigation systems pumps, variable speed drives, HVAC, and lighting. We begin with an assessment of current irrigation equipment to find opportunities for improvement.
We also help agricultural producers secure state and federal funding to make these projects more affordable.
• Qualified candidates will have highly developed interpersonal skills; able to achieve a working consensus among parties who have dissimilar opinions. Tact, diplomacy, and respect are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel & Access
• Must be able and willing to work with and around mechanical and electrical equipment, and be physically capable of accessing areas where equipment is located
• Prefer a degree in related field (Energy Management, Agriculture or) or equivalent experience in energy or agriculture.
• Valid driver’s license
• Be willing to travel within Western Oregon.
• Ability to gain knowledge of the energy efficiency programs and services available to Willamette Valley from BPA, local public utilities and electric cooperatives.
• Experience in agricultural production is preferred.
This is a full time permanent position.
This salaried position will pay between $35,000-$45,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
