Did you know that we have a native bee that doesn't swarm, lives in a simple bamboo, straw, or wood-block house, hates stinging, comes out to pollinate weeks earlier than the European honey bee, and is about 50 times more efficient at the job? Learn from local mason bee expert Sherian Wright about the benefits and behaviors of this wonderfully helpful and friendly native pollinator. Participants will construct compact bee condos while learning about the lifestyles and needs of these upwardly mobile arthropods. There is a $10 fee per adult or family.
