Sustainable Watershed and Education Fundraiser

Hostelling International Oregon Council's 2nd Annual Fundraiser to help support the growth of council programming & Sustainable Watershed Program.

To be launched in the fall of 2011, our new Sustainable Watershed Program will provide underserved Portland Metro youth with hands-on and innovative opportunities to learn about Portland’s watershed management issues while participating in the city’s best efforts to create positive change. Based out of our award winning eco hostel we will also work with local community organizations that are helping to preserve our urban watershed. Our schools and youth programs, like many of us, are facing tough times. Investing in our youth is our link to survival and we need your help to get this program up and running. The evening will include exciting raffle prizes such as Patagonia outdoor gear, massages, a family photo session, a tattoo, overnights on Mt. Hood, in San Francisco and at Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center, and many more. Also enjoy a tribute to alumni hostellers including a short film about legacies Bill and Ruth Nelson.

$20 / person at the door. Price includes two drinks, hearty appetizers, and ½ off the Eddie Martinez show (only $5), which will take place directly after the event. We hope to see you there!
