Sustainability Project Seeks 18- to 24-Year-Old Participants

The International Sustainability Leadership Project being hosted by The City of Beaverton July 18-August 5 is accepting applications from potential participants between the ages of 18-24 years old. The project will bring together a total of 60 young people from the Portland area and Beaverton's international sister cities in Russia, South Korea, France, Japan, Taiwan and Germany to explore the latest in sustainability through workshops, tours and interactive discussions with leaders from the local sustainability community. There is no charge to project participants and the benefits are many. Build international friendships, learn leadership skills, and network with industry leaders in renewable energy, energy conservation, transportation, green building techniques, waste management, food systems and water conversation.
