Plant native trees and shrubs with SOLV in Lake Oswego on Saturday, February 19th! We will be working along Carter Creek from 9:00am to 12:00pm rain or shine, and all tools, gloves and supplies will be provided. By planting native trees and shrubs, volunteers will be lowering stream temperatures and creating an ecosystem that will filter polluted stormwater runoff, improve water quality, provide better habitat for wildlife, and be more resilient to climate change.
The Carter Creek site is in the middle of the Kruse Way/Meadows Rd office park. The area has been developed by Shorenstein Realty. Neighbors have formed a group to care for the creek. The goals of the project are to enhance the stream corridor and improve wildlife habitat and water quality. This project will build on volunteers’ efforts over the past several years to plant trees and shrubs along the creek. Volunteers have also built a wood chip path that is popular with workers in the nearby office buildings. Project partners include Tualatin River Watershed Council, Water Environment Services of Clackamas County, Shorenstein Realty Services, Metro - Nature in Neighborhood, Friends of Carter Creek, Water Environment Services - Clackamas County, City of Lake Oswego, and Autodesk, Inc.

We hope to see you out in your watershed!
