Course Description
This interactive six-month program helps you develop the technical skills and knowledge required to design and build high performance homes. Each two-day module integrates lecture and discussion, hands-on exercises and tours of certified homes. Outside work includes homework assignments, readings and a final project that you can apply to real life. Our expert instructors have used building science and sustainability practices to construct award-winning homes, and they share practical tips that you will find nowhere else. A certification exam allows you to earn the designation of a Certified Sustainable Homes Professional. Earth Advantage Institute provides marketing support to help you gain visibility as an informed green professional.

Modules 5 can be taken as an individual class and is approved for 14 continuing education hours for CCB elective credits or 14 learning units through the AIA's Continuing Education System. Each module includes expert instruction, student materials, and two site visits of third-party certified homes for a course fee of $295 (discounts available).
