Do you like the idea of doing good and having fun? Join us at a potluck and reception for Michael Strong and Magatte Wade.

Michael's latest book is “Be the Solution: How Entrepreneurs and Conscious Capitalists Can Solve All the World’s Problems,” co-authored with John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods Market; Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate; Hernando de Soto, Co-Chair of the UN Commission on the Legal Empowerment of the Poor; and others. Michael also created an innovative school in New Mexico ranked among the best public high schools in the US.

Magatte Wade (Michael's wife), a popular speaker originally from Senegal, founded Adina World Beverages, a multi-million dollar beverage company that sells culturally authentic beverages from around the world. She was a featured panelist at the 2009 Global Competitiveness Forum in Riyadh (where she debated the chairman of Nestle), and serves as a mentor for developing world entrepreneurs for the MIT Legatum Center for Entrepreneurship and Development. She has also partnered with the First Lady of Senegal’s health and education NGO, Association Education Sante (AES) to promote organic Hibiscus in Senegal.

Both visionary entrepreneurs promote financing a city by means of land value gains, a project similar to those of the host organization in Portland, the Forum on Geonomics.

In the home of Walt Roberts and Aimee Krouskop (who've opened their door despite needing to be absent, regrettably). Come 5:30 for social time before a 6pm potluck -- veggie pizza, lemonade, and mead for starters, bring food or drink to share -- followed by discussion with Michael and Magatte.
