March Green Drinks - Columbia Riverkeepers' Dan Serres Discusses Liquefied Natural Gas

Please join us Tuesday, March 2nd at 7pm for the next Green Drinks event featuring Dan Serres discussion of Columbia River Keeper discussing Liquefied Natural Gas. Energy developers have proposed to build LNG terminals along Oregon's coast and pipelines inland.

Time: Doors open at 6:30pm, the speakers starts promptly at 7:00. Announcements will follow the speakers and networking will continue upstairs until 8:45.

Donation: We ask that you donate $5 to help us cover our costs. All attendees will be entered into a raffle to win a signed children's book from local author Lauren Davis.

Food / Drinks: Hot Lips will be selling beer and wine upstairs so you can more easily experience the "drinks" portion of "Green Drinks." You'll still need to go downstairs for any food but are welcome to bring it upstairs.

Discussion Groups: During the networking after the speaker, we will have 4 topics for discussion in the four corners of the room.

About Dan Serres:
Dan Serres is Conservation Director at Columbia Riverkeeper (CRK) and has been working with CRK for several years on opposition to liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in the Columbia River estuary. Dan was born and raised outside of Oregon City, Oregon, has a background in Earth Systems science, and received a B.S. and M.S. from Stanford University in 2004.

About Lauren Davis
Inspired by her brother’s environmental activism and his website GreenPosting.org, Lauren Davis became keenly aware that children need to learn how to make a difference in keeping the environment clean. She created Giggles the Green Bean to teach children the basics of living a green lifestyle in fun and colorful ways. Davis has long been involved with children, with experience that includes work as a camp counselor and a pre-school teacher.
