January Green Drinks - P+OSI

Please join us Tuesday, January 5th at 7pm for the next Green Drinks event featuring Rob Bennett of the Portland Sustainability Institute (PoSI).

Rob will discuss the genesis of PoSI, a new NGO created to promote next generation sustainability innovation for the Portland metro region and key projects the organization is helping to lead: the Oregon Sustainability Center, EcoDistricts, and Climate Prosperity Project.

REMINDER! Time: Doors open at 6:30pm, the speakers starts promptly at 7:00. Announcements will follow the speakers and networking will continue upstairs until 8:45.

REMINDER! Food / Drinks: Hot Lips will be selling beer and wine upstairs so you can more easily experience the "drinks" portion of "Green Drinks." You'll still need to go downstairs for any food but are welcome to bring it upstairs.

REMINDER! Discussion Groups: During the networking after the speaker, we will have 4 topics for discussion (Green Building, Energy, Food and Non-Profits) in the four corners of the room.

About Rob Bennett:
Rob is the founding executive director of the Portland + Oregon Sustainability Institute. He comes most recently from the Clinton Climate Initiative, where he was the residential and cities policy manager, developing comprehensive residential pilot programs for the cities of Houston and Chicago. In that role, Rob also provided technical assistance to cities throughout North America in the areas of climate change reductions and building performance policy.

Prior to that, he spent eight years working directly for the cities of Vancouver, B.C. and Portland, OR in the areas of green building, energy efficiency and corporate sustainability. Rob is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts–Amherst School of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning. He has served on the boards of the Cascadia Region Green Building Council and REACH Community Development.
