Water Quality Coordinator Position

Willamette Riverkeeper is seeking a part time Water Quality Coordinator to facilitate our Water Quality Monitoring Program. At present our program utilizes over 90 volunteers who conduct basic water quality monitoring (E. coli, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, pH and more). This position will train and provide ongoing support for volunteers, calibrate and maintain equipment, manage equipment distribution, and coordinate sampling along the Willamette and its tributaries from Eugene to Portland.

Position: Columbia Riverkeeper is seeking an independent contractor to assist with fundraising and organizational development. The contractor will help develop and implement a donor relations program with an emphasis on individual donor cultivation and retention.

Goals: Increased donor satisfaction and giving. First step of plan is improving communications and fundraising among current members and donors.

The Water Bureau Internship program was established in the 1970's to provide an opportunity for civil engineering students to gain on-the-job experience working with professional engineers as well as an opportunity to increase the amount of technical work on City projects.

When the program began, all applicants had to have been enrolled in an accredited engineering program to qualify. Over the years, the program has expanded to include the fields of Regulatory Compliance, Water Quality, Emergency Management and Community Outreach.
