This is a part-time temporary position with variable work hours, not to exceed 1044 hours in a 12 month period. Work locations include Metro Central Station (6161 NW 61st Ave., Portland), Metro South Station (2001 Washington St., Oregon City) and various locations off-site at hazardous waste clean-up events.

The City of Beaverton is hiring a Recycling Specialist in the Recycle at Work Program. The Recycling Specialist provides recycling and waste prevention education, resources and technical assistance to businesses within the City of Beaverton. The primary focus of the position is to assist with implementation of the region’s Recycle at Work program. This position requires the ability to discuss waste prevention, recycling and sustainability topics with representatives of Beaverton businesses in a professional and courteous manner.
