enhance the livability of our community and to ensure that current and future
FMYI [for my innovation] is a private collaboration site where you store and share information securely with your team. It combines a social networking site look and feel with tools to achieve your goals. You can create pages to manage projects, track contacts, share files, and more. Our company was founded in 2004 as the pioneer in social collaboration software. We’re headquartered in Portland and FMYI is the 13th fastest growing private company in Oregon.
Essential Functions (to include, but not limited to):
• Implement programs designed to move property managers and residents from knowledge to action.
• Distribute educational materials/promotional materials to property managers and residents.
• Work with communities to develop waste and energy reduction strategies.
• Work with the schools outreach coordinator to develop outreach materials and methods for reaching youth living in multifamily communities.
• Communicate with representatives of Energy Trust, PGE, and franchised solid waste collection companies.
The Northwest Earth Institute (NWEI) seeks a highly motivated and reliable individual for our internship program. The Higher Education (HE) Outreach intern will work closely with The Director of Higher Education to increase the use of NWEI discussion courses at colleges and universities around the country. The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, starting in September 2010. The Intern is expected to work part-time (10-20 per week). Hours are flexible between 9am-3 pm, Tuesday-Friday.
The Portland/Multnomah Climate Action Plan (CAP) is a comprehensive framework for mitigating climate change by reducing carbon emissions and preparing the most vulnerable in the community for the impacts of climate change in Multnomah County. The Sustainability Specialist will play an important role in the implementation of the CAP by supporting the county as it moves forward on CAP priority actions including working with regional partners on a community engagement campaign.
