YEA Academy is a free monthly Saturday workshop program for 12-17 year olds who want to make a difference in their community or the world. At YEA, participants will learn ways to bring about a change on social justice issues they care about, such as homophobia, climate change, racism, animal rights, or bullying. Our first program will be launching December 10 in Portland, OR, and will be expanding to other cities.
The Fix-It Fairs are free events designed to save you money and connect you to resources. Fix-It Fairs occur seasonally, on three Saturday mornings during the winter (between November and February) from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at various locations around Portland.

Columbia Springs, an environmental education center located along the Columbia River in Vancouver, will present a series of classes on Native Plants and on Earth-friendly Gardening Practices. Classes can be taken individually or as a four-week series.
The largest non-traditional career fair of its kind, Oregon Tradeswomen, Inc. produces the interactive Women in Trades Career Fair to increase the overall number of women working in the trades and to help fill the eminent gap in the labor force that will be created with record-levels of upcoming retirements of skilled trades people.
Produced annually since 1993, this unique, industry sponsored and volunteer powered event offers dozens of hands-on activities designed to introduce women and girls to the possibility of a future career in the trades.
Solar Oregon’s third annual Goal Net Zero (GNZ) Tour features four Portland homes reaching for Net Zero Energy use. Learn from the workshop and guided tour what can be achieved with deep energy retrofits and new construction. This year we are also introducing the European Passive House concept. The GNZ Tour is open to homeowners, designers, builders and real estate professionals who are interested in high performance homes.

The Women in Trades Career Fair will be held at the NECA/IBEW Electrical Training Center, 16021 NE Airport Way, Portland, OR 97230.
The Fair is an incredibly effective way to discover career possibilities in the construction, mechanical, utility, and other trades. This is a chance for women and girls to meet tradeswomen, use power tools, operate equipment, and learn about apprenticeships and high-paying, highly skilled career opportunities in the trades.
