This one-day program is designed to introduce planners, planning commissioners and other interested municipal staff, council members and citizens to the concept of how to use The Natural Step Framework as a foundation for creating a sustainable community.
Course Description

Distinguish between the region's three most prominent green building certification programs: Earth Advantage® New Homes, ENERGY STAR® Homes, and LEED® for Homes. Discover the value and benefits of sustainable building practices and learn about the future of the residential green building market.

The S.T.A.R. (Sustainability Training for Accredited Real Estate Professionals) program gives real estate professionals the tools to market, sell, and communicate with clients about green building. In this two-day course, participants learn about the Northwest’s leading green home certification programs while gaining the skills needed to help clients with their sustainable needs and green building questions.
