The International Sustainability Leadership Project being hosted by The City of Beaverton July 18-August 5 is accepting applications from potential participants between the ages of 18-24 years old. The project will bring together a total of 60 young people from the Portland area and Beaverton's international sister cities in Russia, South Korea, France, Japan, Taiwan and Germany to explore the latest in sustainability through workshops, tours and interactive discussions with leaders from the local sustainability community. There is no charge to project participants and the benefits are many.

The S.T.A.R. (Sustainability Training for Accredited Real Estate Professionals) program gives real estate professionals the tools to market, sell, and communicate with clients about green building. In this two-day course, participants learn about the Northwest’s leading green home certification programs while gaining the skills needed to help clients with their sustainable needs and green building questions.
