Multnomah County Sustainability Film Series presents "Food Fight" as a part of the Multnomah Food Action Plan celebration. A panel discussion about transforming our local food system to follow. On September 14th, the Coop hosts cheesemaker Claudia Lucero from Urban Cheesecraft for a free workshop on making fast, easy farmers’ cheeses like paneer and queso blanco. We’ll also have a discussion on urban goat-keeping with Emily Gowen from the Going Goaty Collective. Come on out to learn all about it! Bring a dish to share for the potluck, starting at 6:30.
Join the Crag Law Center on Saturday, July 24th for our 5th Annual Filbert Farm Benefit Party!! The event will feature live world music from NuBorn Tribe, delicious Greek food (including lamb, turkey and veggie kabobs), VooDoo Doughnuts, and refreshing local beer and tea. Kids are welcome!!
Crag is a public interest environmental law center. All proceeds will support our work to protect public lands, water quality and livable communities throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Filbert is always a great time and we hope to see you there!
Like farmers markets and supporting local farms? 1000 Friends will be tabling and clipboarding at Farmers Markets and events this summer and fall in Washington County and need volunteer support! Come to our Volunteer Training to learn about the urban and rural reserves process and ways you can help raise awareness about the importance of protecting farmland and investing in our town centers.
