Join Us for International Passive House Days, Nov. 9-11:
Oregon Sustainable Buildings Open for Public Tours
Oregon high performance homes and offices will open their doors to the general public this weekend as part of the International Passive House Days. While 1000s of buildings are participating in Europe, the eight buildings open in Oregon from November 9 to 11 represent the largest group of buildings in the U.S. participating this year.
Spend a day in the beautiful northern Coast Range learning about how Oregon families are caring for their forests, maintaining a healthy ecosystem, and producing high quality wood products for local markets.

Writer Elizabeth Grossman investigates the health and environmental effects of chemicals used to make stuff we use every day, like our high-tech devices. Her work connects the dots to “green” chemistry solutions that are changing the way we design and manufacture products. Her research began locally, with Willamette River water quality, and has led to an exploration of international environmental, occupational and public health issues, as well as chemical management policies that result in alternatives to toxic chemicals.
